Tutorial Section

The section is mandated to design and produce Open and Distance Learning resources for primary, secondary and tertiary education. It also offers Continuous

 Professional Development and Complementary Basic Education courses and resources. The tutorial is the bedrock of MCDE, well known for the production of Secondary School Open and Distance Learning modules popularly called sets.

The modules are self-teaching instructional materials that provide the distance learner with direct teaching of knowledge and skills through print.

Currently, the modules are produced in the following subjects at junior and senior secondary level.

Primary Curriculum Assessment Reform (PCAR) through Tikwere Interactive Radio Instruction (IRI)

SADC Capacity Building Project for ODL practitioners through the SADC Centre of Specialisation at MCDE headquarters.

Inclusive Education Project by Save the Children International in Collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

National Reading program book writing program and Tikwere (IRI) project.
